Bowl Game Contest (2012-2013)

Darren Yaden won our contest.  After the National Championship game, we had 10 contestants tied with 5 wins.  After applying the tie-breaker (combined points in Championship game), Darren was the winner.  Here he is with his $400 check.

• Stanford vs Wisconsin (Rose Bowl January 1, 2013)
• Florida State vs Northern Illinois University (Orange Bowl January 1, 2013)
• Florida vs Louisville (Sugar Bowl January 2, 2013)
• Kansas State vs Oregon (Fiesta Bowl January 3, 2013)
• Notre Dame vs Alabama (National Championship January 7, 2013
• Tie-Breaker: Total points scored in Notre Dame vs Alabama game.

The prizes for this contest shall consist of a $100 cash award to the winner. However, if the winner beats any one of the station “experts”, then the prize will be doubled to $200; if the winner beats two of our “experts”, the prize will be increased to $300; and, if the winner beats all three of our “experts”, the prize will be increased to $400. 

College Basketball Bracket Contest

Congrats to Doug Ridner of Somerset for winning a 50 inch plasma TV from Buis Appliance and Furniture in our Bracket Master contest. Doug filled out his bracket at B&H Mini Mart in Crab Orchard. And, yes, he did pick our National Champion Wildcats to win!
